I was reminiscing about what initially got me excited about taking control of my life and I remembered a few books from the past that are just as relevant today.
One of the defining books was found in the basement of my Mom and Dad’s home during a trip home from university many years ago. 10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management by Hyrum Smith rang true for me from the first time I read it and this book prompted me to strive for the life I wanted. I definitely have an internal locus of control andam not a fatalist by heart or by design! How about you?
Another book of impact was Multiple Streams of Income by Robert G. Allen as it breathed life into the idea of passive/residual income. Not only that, he outlined many potential seeds that could be planted and how they could be harvested. I actually enjoy my J-O-B most days but embrace the ideal of working for pleasure and making my money through other means - in fact this is my major financial goal.
Robert Kiyosaki’s original tome Rich Dad, Poor Dad not only made Robert very wealthy but it imparts the importance of learning, desire and action as essential ingredients of success.
I have read countless books and articles on wealth, success and happiness and honestly, have found the three books listed above as the most influential.
If you have not read them, and are at all interested in anything at Assetology.com, pick them up and have a great read.
I plan to update my memory banks again by re-reading these over the next few months and will be sure to share any tidbits with you.
Now, what to dump from my RAM?
